Get out your Baton!
We’ll just see who can remember the twirls this Memorial Day. There’s the front spin, the side spin and, just in case you need a reminder, the two handed spin. I’ve been practicing some but I haven’t yet started on the throws. I guess as long as we’re at this we should add the tumbling events just to see what we can do at 64 and 65. How about the cartwheel or perhaps just a few somersaults in quick succession?
Now we can find out what you’ll come up with for your contribution to the events. So far there has been no discussion about the reunion. I know you and I will be there for perhaps the entire time. Will the wine be there?
Charlie decided the children could wear life jackets all day but his mom says even those wouldn’t help much with the swiftness of the Chiwawa River right now. It is good to know that so far we all have beds but I’m sure the early arrivals get the best accommodations. It’s sort of a trade off as then you have to stay just that much longer.
I have nothing to mention today. I can always use my grandsons for a fallback and then you can stop reading right here. Lucas is completely grown now. How did it happen so quickly? I don’t know how or where he learned things but he does know that Darth Maul is the worst monster in the world. I showed him the photo of his mom and dad at their wedding and said he’d be marrying someone when he grew up. He said no that he will be a Power Ranger when he grows up. He works on his Power Ranger skills constantly like for example when we’re sitting watching television he’ll hop on the coffee table and then leap to the couch, just barely missing the floor. I can’t understand why anyone would want to do that but it must be in the male gene. No darling girl would think of such a stunt.
Cyd started work yesterday and the entire family was happy on their way to daycare. That evening when I called to see how the day went Cyd was in tears. She just thinks she is abandoning her boys and for what reason? Time will tell how this plays out but she is now being held hostage by the daycare as they need 30 days notice for dropping out. I say wait and see how things go.
I have a little bit of family happenings. Jill and family are in Disneyland this week, Diana is going to walk the Camino de Santiago with Linda and me in September, and I haven’t heard a word from Nancy.
