Arla's Aimless Anecdotes

This is my attempt to write one occasional email to various people at one time. I specifically write with my cousin Judy in mind. Since we grew up together we agreed in our teens that we'd always try to keep in contact. This is a supplement to our twice yearly phone calls and our once yearly visit at our Johanson Family Memorial Day Reunion.

Lucas Overnight

I only told five people about my attempts to start a blog site. So far my friend, Jane has warned me about the pitfalls of such an endeavor. I want to say that I checked the keep off the google search page so maybe that will make the difference. I'm not totally sure but I don't see how anyone but a few of my friends would want to read this. Anyway I like writing it and I'm not writing 5 emails a day so that is nice.

Judy thinks I have too much time on my hands but then she forgets that almost 2 hours a day she spends walking her dog and really visiting her friends in the park. It's nice we each have difference interests.

Tonight Lucas is spending the night. I get ready by checking out 4 videos at the the library, stocking up on Nemo fruit snacks and by resting the afternoon prior. I've been reading Newsweeks and watching Dr. Phil. I think I'll be ready to be on the go for three hours before
bedtime and then again for a few hours in the am. His parents are always on time and they arrive exactly at 8 a.m. Of course by then we've been up since 5:30 so we've already had quite a
morning. We have one small toy room upstairs and we go from there to the basement which is full of broken and new toys. I think he still wants to try my sewing machine instead.

Tomorrow the neighbors are going to breakfast together to celebrate Claire's birthday. The date for lunch today was canceled since she had to accompany Raymond on his pacemaker checkup. We will have a good time visiting in the morning. Later it will be time to take Alberta to lunch and then we like to do a little grocery shopping for the week.

It is warming up here and I have purple crocus blooming.
